Morning fog over the polder

Out before sunrise with a 50 mm lens and two rolls of Portra 400. The fog lifted around eight, leaving the fields silver for about ten minutes. Three frames I like, one I love.
Why I still scan negatives myself

Lab scans are fine, but home scanning lets me decide where the shadows end. A simple light pad, a macro lens and patience go a long way.
Canal reflections

Late evening, low wind, still water. The trick is to expose for the sky and let the houses fall into soft shadow.
